About Nishijin Kinran:
Kinran is a traditional Japanese brocade woven with metallic threads. Its history traces back to China’s Song Dynasty and was introduced to Japan during the Tensho era (1573–1592). Nishijin Kinran, crafted in Kyoto’s famous Nishijin district, remains one of the most prestigious textiles, long favored by the elite for its rich luster and intricate patterns.
